The ABC star is on cloud nine

While things at home may be trying for Robin Roberts given her partner Amber Laign's health struggle, career-wise, things couldn't be better, as she received a major honor.

The Good Morning America star was announced as the winner for the Outstanding Informative Talk Show award at the 49th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards held on Friday.

What was quite coincidental about the category of nominees she was up against was the fact that she ended up winning over some familiar faces.

Robin's show was in contention with , hosted by her colleagues and friends Amy Robach, TJ Holmes, and Dr. Jennifer Ashton.

When was announced as the visitor, the camera briefly panned over to the trio of hosts at their table, enthusiastically applauding the victors.

Upon noticing the footage, TJ immediately began jokingly hiding his face and shooing the camera away to Amy's amusement, although they all clearly looked extremely happy for their friend despite the loss.

While the host and executive producer herself wasn't in attendance, her team accepted the honor, with her fellow executive producer Kadine Anckle delivering an impassioned speech.

After starting off in Spanish, she thanked the entire team behind the show and finally thanked Robin, saying: "And of course, Robin Roberts.

"Thank you, Robin, for being a wonderful host and a brilliant light and allowing us to shine with you. Thank you for sharing that," she said, before concluding with a message for female empowerment.

The news was also shared on the weekend edition of the following day, with the hosts congratulating Robin and the entire team.

The star was grateful for the win

Robin took to her own Instagram Stories with a clip from the segment, writing: "Loved seeing all these beautiful big smiles on the Emmy stage…very proud of our team!"
